Doha, Qatar – 6 February 2025: Msheireb Downtown Doha is set to transform into a hub of sports, technology, and wellness on National Sports Day (NSD), offering an action-packed programme designed to inspire an active and connected lifestyle. Designed to attract visitors of all ages, NSD at Msheireb Downtown Doha will feature immersive fitness experiences, high-tech sports activations, family-friendly challenges, and an exhilarating Night Run and drone show.
National Sports Day activations will take place from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, ensuring a full day of interactive experiences. As the sun sets, the excitement continues with the Night Run by Visit Qatar, kicking off at 5:30 PM from M7 and offering two route options to accommodate all fitness levels.

Sports Village by Vodafone at Barahat Msheireb
The Vodafone Sports Village will take centre stage at Barahat Msheireb, offering a mix of traditional sports and cutting-edge digital experiences. The activation features multi-sport stations, including football, basketball, volleyball, and archery, alongside 5G-powered digital and gamified challenges. Attendees can explore dedicated zones, such as a Digital Activation Area showcasing Vodafone’s latest technology, a Kids Area with engaging activities, and an Open Games Area encouraging active participation.

Sahat Al Nakheel – Interactive Sports & Tech Activations
Sahat Al Nakheel will host a series of tech-enhanced activations that merge fitness, interactivity, and entertainment. Deliveroo will set up a unique smoothie bike challenge, where participants pedal to power blenders and create fresh smoothies. With two adult-sized bikes and one child-sized bike, this activation promotes a fun, healthy lifestyle while rewarding participants with a Deliveroo voucher for their next order. Nearby, PSG will host nine interactive football stations that combine mini-golf mechanics with football challenges, featuring obstacles such as dribbling defenders, precision shots, and themed elements like the Eiffel Tower and player cutouts. Meanwhile, Al Emadi Group will offer healthy beverages and snacks to encourage better nutritional habits.
Sikkat Wadi – A Merging of Innovation and Interactive Giving
Qatar Red Crescent’s (QRC) “Challenge Humanity” activation will introduce robot-assisted sports challenges, combining technology and charity to engage visitors while promoting QRC’s humanitarian initiatives. Media City will transform Sikkat Wadi into an outdoor digital fitness zone, where strategically placed QR codes to unlock two interactive options: watch fitness influencers demonstrate location-specific workouts to try in real-time; or register to participate in a prize draw for completing challenges.
